We're back! I don't know how rested we are, but we had fun and that's what counts. Here's a quick peek at our summer trip to the Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan area of Alabama.
I took this one from the steps of our beach house. It was a pretty spot right on the beach.
The weather semi-cooperated with us. It did rain every day, but we had a bit of sun each day too. Lots of overcast skies.
Ew. LOTS and LOTS of jellyfish. If you're visiting the area this summer, be forewarned. They were in the water at the Fort Morgan area by the dozens the entire time we were there.
They didn't stop the kiddos from boogey-boarding though!
We took the ferry over to Dauphin Island one afternoon and got caught in a big old thunderstorm!
And we toured the actual Civil War era Fort Morgan too. Very cool.
Cute little crabby fella.
And my little sunshine Lu turned 11 on the beach.
We're happy to be home!
Glad you guys had a good time!!!! We didn't see any Jelly Fish in Destin...thank GOD LOL

Wow, looks like so much fun. Warmth and sand!! We don't have that here. :( I'm waiting a few years before we go on a major family vacation. My kids are too young yet.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Happy Bday Lu! I used to go to the Jersey Shore as a kid every summer and man oh man were there jelly fish - yuck! My mean ol' cousins used to tell me that's how they made jelly for peanut butter sandwiches ... I became a just peanut butter gal ... so impressionable!
