Toot Toot

Not to be all self-celebratory or anything, but I am official a year older...as of yesterday!!

(I won't bore you with the number.)

This kids & I went here for dinner:
and saw this movie, which was actually quite cute! I'm a little sad it's the last one!

Busy Busy Busy here sewing-wise. I did list these 2 little blings for Black Friday...

Meanwhile I can't stop thinking about summer vacation (and its not even Christmas!) I want to go back here:

Wailea Beach, Maui

Although here is a strong second (you know, in the quest for pink sand and all...)

For budget beach bums, I highly recommend this one:

Siesta Key Beach, Florida

and the best part is that you're only an 90 minutes or so from here:

That's my weekend in a nutshell. I'm kinda lazy-boring, huh?

I haven't posted a pic of the kitties in a while! Aren't they getting big??? This is their favorite "bed". Even tho they've got a quite fetching one I bought in the Isaac Mizrahi Pet Section at Target. Figures.

Flashy McRanty Pants
Soo...shoutout here to all my actor friends (of which I have a spare few.) Ya'll know I TOTALLY didn't mean you when I said shallow & self-absorbed.

Peppermint Twirl...and a Rant :D

What would the weekend be without a Rant???

But first...

Le Adorable Peppermint Twirl skirt & tee...

Such a cute little outfit! 3 of these little fabrics are LOOONG gone, so it is truly One of a Kind.

So TomKat are getting married, like today in Italy. Right?

The wedding (according to a CNN estimate) cost apporximately 1.5 mil.

ONE POINT FIVE MILLION DOLLARS???? Are you KIDDING ME???

1.5 million dollars for 2 actors to perform in front of their fellow actor (read: mostly shallow & self absorbed) friends, in a ceremony that isn't legal in the country it is performed in, via a religion said country doesn't even recognize. Hmmm.

Do you know what else you can do with 1.5 million dollars?

With 1.5 million dollars you could:
  • Donate 1500 brand new desktop computers to an underpriveleged school district
  • Send 75 kids to a state college for 4 years...tuition free
  • Buy 2 weeks worth of groceries for 7500 needy families
  • Write a $40 check to every single teacher in Oklahoma as a Christmas bonus. EVERY SINGLE ONE. (And yes, $40 is a lot of money to a teacher. Especially one in Oklahoma.)
  • Pay for 1 month's prescriptions for 10,000 senior citizens
  • Cover the outstanding hospital costs for 10 children with cancer.
  • Feed 1.5 million starving children.
More than 1 Billion people in this world live on less than $1 a day.

You do the math.
