bounty.

"My bounty is as boundless as the sea,
My love as deep; the more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite."
--William Shakespeare

The bounty of love I have for this voile and lace confectionary Edwardian blouse is...endless.

And here I've been wondering what to do with all the lace and Nelona I've got lying around since my lovely Lu outgrew heirloom.

There's also this gorgeous corset cover in the current issue of Sew Beautiful, with lace-shaped bows...
Speaking of vintagey gorgeous, how beautiful was Drew Barrymore at the Emmy's last night?

I'm stalling on grading papers. Can you tell?

  1. I don't blame you for stalling! I got 2 classes done, then headed down to the sewing room to whip up the muslin for a homecoming dress. Now, I must hit the sack! You're lucky to live down south, that lace confection stuff only works up here in the summer!

  2. I agree with you on Drew's dress. I think it is lovely. I saw a news article that disagreed with that and couldn't understand why.

  3. With your new hair cut you would look fantastic in that style of dreamy blouse. Drew looks wonderful no matter what she wears.

  4. Love the Shakespeare quote. And love Drew's dress. Why does she have to be so sweet that we can't help but love her? Does she ever age At All?

  5. I could tell! I knew you were a girly-girl at heart. That frilly blouse will be beautiful.
