I've been digging around, trying to find a project. I'm out of sorts this week. I have the blahs...
So I'm thinking an easy, comfy (yet stylish, snap!) garment is due for a run. Like this Hotpattterns, the Classic Nouveau Uptown/Downtown Knit Dress.
I have a soft, soft green beefy knit, a gift from the fabulous Julia, that will be perfect! I think a little mindless tracing is just what the sewing doctor ordered to brighten my week.
And a song on my playlist right now...
Oooh - that's going to be cute in green!! :)
ReplyDeletethis is such a great pattern, can't wait to see yours and I might *have* to buy that pattern.
ReplyDeleteI think you will love this dress! It goes together so quickly, and is soooo comfy!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about making this dress too. It looks like an easy, comfy dress.
ReplyDeleteOooo, that linen/cotton knit would be fabulous in that pattern! I am so glad it is going to get used.
ReplyDeleteGood choice on the pattern.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of green, what ever happened to that vintage skirt you gave us a preview of. It was in a green and white floral with a lapped metal zip and lots of gathers...
ReplyDeleteThat one looked sooo cute, I'd love to see it finished
Just make sure the fabric you use for the neckline has a lot of stretch! I made this thinking my fabric would work and it did NOT! I had to rip it out and make it longer and then it gaped horribly! The sleeves make these funny little "poofs" too. Hopefully it'll work out better for you!
ReplyDeleteOh - I'm sorry you've got the blahs. That bites! I just printed that cute beach coverup from Fabric.com thinking it might make an adorable top (or new jammies). g
ReplyDeleteThis is a super cool dress. I can't wait to see your green version! I'm really liking green this year!
ReplyDelete@Jana...that skirt is alllmoooost finished, haha. Just needs some hand stitching on the waistband. :) Maybe I'll drag it out an d finish it this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing a lot of this pattern lately. I think I need to have it!
ReplyDeleteI have so enjoyed catching up on reading your blog! You always have great info, interesting projects, and great garments.
