I'm ready to start something new, although it will likely be the weekend before I actually get a chance to. I'm thinking I will probably go with this cute 50s Simplicity:
And I have this really fabulous kelly green checked fabric (that I don't have a photo of) but I also just got this pretty turquoise seersucker:
Right now, I'm leaning to the seersucker, with a white waffle pique collar. I love that this pattern has so many different options (but only one fitting required!) You can have matching collar (the bias is really nice) or contrast collar, or just a square neckline with a pretty sash.
What are you working on or dreaming of this week?
Love the turquoise...just love it with white...I'm still in Crepe muslin hell.....almost there - have friday off, so hoping to actually get to "real" fabric this weekend...
ReplyDeleteOoo! Another pretty spring color! I love the rose on the waist of the girl in the picture! So cute!!
ReplyDeleteI love that collar.
ReplyDeleteNext up: rodeo wear.
save me. please.
I'm dreaming of finishing up my Swing Dress so I can finally move onto another project! But I haven't had the time this week. Poop.
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be one great dress! Love the color - and that collar.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! What an awesome collar! I'm test sewing right now. At least two of the things are actually to fit me and not a kid! lol! I'm really thinking you'll like the new Colette patterns coming out, btw! ;-) But, I'd really like to make the HP Marrakesh (sp?) pants!
ReplyDeleteLove this! And you know I'm a sucker for seersucker!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern and think it would be great in a seersucker. I am making a dress for my 5 year old granddaughter. First is the smocking to do.
ReplyDeleteoooo i love the seersucker. i am dreaming of some 40s princess seam dresses with rickrack going down the seams. i think my next thing (after i finish hubbys shirt) is going to be princess seams and all the cute variations it can have.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I just finished this dress two days ago! I think mine may have been a butterick? At any rate, it was super easy to make. I had to make my collar smaller because I felt like a pilgrim! *lol* But it's a darling dress. I'll try to post pics this weekend so you can see. My favorite part is that pretty deep v in the back. xoxo
ReplyDeleteCute pattern - like the seersucker, too.
ReplyDeleteI just love this pattern and the fabric is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely. You will be amazingly well dressed come the Spring - I am envious.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is visiting and even though I'm off for 5 days straight - I haven't had a minute to sew. g
Love the pattern and fabric. I want to get some travel tissue covers made up this weekend. A quick and easy project (depending on how many times the kiddos interupt, LOL).

Finishing my book! Oh, you mean as in crafty things? I wish I had the time. H and I have been scrapbooking when we can, but we are distracted by cupcakes and cakes lately. I LOVE that print.
